Rosé with a Touch of Overcast

The Revolution is here! The Pink Revolution Live Chat is only a few days away. Join us for a live wine chat with Elizabeth Gabay, MW, author of "Rosé Understanding the Pink Wine Revolution." We will discuss how Rosé has moved into the spotlight. It is no longer the bridge wine between winter and summer. Rosé is a favorite year-round. You can register here.

You know how we love all things local. Well, we are sipping Windridge Vineyards 2019 Rosé during our live chat. You can get a Rosé package when you register for the FREE live chat. The Rose package includes a bottle of 2019 Rosé, Vino 301 stemless wine glass, and corkscrew ($20 and free delivery). The 2019 Rosé is a Chambourcin and Merlot blend.

Windridge Vineyards, located in Darnestown, MD, has been making wine since 2010. Roy and Brian, Windridge's fantastic tasting room staff, took the time to go on Facebook Live with me.They shared with us about the vineyard and wines. Roy and Brian gave a brief tour of the vineyard. It was a little overcast during our conversion, but the views are still beautiful. They gave a quick glimpse of the new tasting room during our chat. Fingers-crossed, people will be able to visit the tasting room mid-summer.

We discussed the differences between 2018 and 2019 Rosés. Roy gives us his Rosé food pairing recommendations. Spoiler alert - Nathan's hotdogs. Aside from Windridge's Rosé, they produce a delicious portfolio of wines. I encourage you to visit when we can go wine tasting again.
